Joel Kolquist is a Certified Public Accountant who began his professional career with Kolquist, Seitz and Goldman in 2003 after graduating with a degree from the University of St Thomas. Joel practices in accounting, compilation and review services, individual and business taxation, business valuations, tax planning and other areas related to accounting while serving clients in a wide range of industries. He is committed to helping his clients find success through attentive tax planning ideas, analyzing financial data, guiding them through new and changing tax laws, and most importantly, listening to their specific accounting needs and providing them with the options and opportunities that make sense for their particular situations.
Joel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is committed to volunteering in his community, currently serving as the board chair of UDAC (an organization that services individuals with disabilities). Joel is also a past President of the Duluth Chapter of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and a past treasurer of the Volunteer Attorney Program in Duluth Minnesota (an organization that connects income eligible individual’s with pro bono legal assistance).
While away from work, Joel keeps himself busy raising his two sons with the help of his wife, keeping them involved in their school and sporting activities. He can also occasionally be spotted at a local golf course or at a local fishing hole.
